1/4" cast acrylic tubing
MRC American cast acrylic tube is specifically manufactured for MRC per our specifications; this results in the very best cast tube available. Our tube is optically clear, blemish free and of uniform thickness. A 1/4" tube means that it is .25", not .20 or less like other manufacturers. 1/4" tube is especially important on calcium reactors. The sides of the reactor tubes are professionally drilled and tappped for a secure, unbreakable joint. Try this with 1/8" wall or even extruded; it isn't pretty and surely won't last as long.

Thick O-Ring
Milled O-ring grooves made by a state of the art CNC router. This provides a perfect seal every time. Some manufacturers do these by hand, which results in a product that is not always repeatable and definitely not as clean.

3/8" Thick Key Holed Flanges
3/8" does not warp under pressure and it also allows for a better seal of the product, since you can get more pressure on the thumbscrews. Other manufacturers save on cost by sacrificing quality of materials; when choosing a product, check the thickness of materials used and decide which one you'd rather have. 

Custom sizing
Custom sizes are never a problem with MRC. If a standard item is too tall to fit in your stand, it can be customized for you. MRC believes in making items work for you regardless of your situation or limited space.

CNC Machined parts
What does CNC machined mean? Well, in short it means MRC uses a state of the art computer controller CNC router to cut all material for protein skimmers, calcium reactor, Nilsen reactors, sumps, etc. Drawings are programed into the computer which is then outputed to the CNC router. The CNC router then cuts the material exactly as it is specified on the computer rendering with the strictest of tolerances. How does that give MRC an advantage? This allows for the same quality equipment to be created time and time again. Every part is in the same place every time..this cannot be duplicated by fly by night garage based businesses.
